Lepa Brena

Lepa Brena, born on October 20, 1960, in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a celebrated singer and actor who has left an indelible mark on the music scene of the former Yugoslavia. Since relocating to Belgrade, Serbia, in 1980, she embarked on a remarkable career that would see her become a cultural icon.

Known for her vibrant performances and catchy hits, Lepa Brena is often regarded as a symbol of Yugo-nostalgia, representing a bygone era of unity in the region. Her music resonated with many, making her one of the last popular acts to emerge before the breakup of Yugoslavia.

In addition to her musical achievements, Brena co-founded Grand Production alongside her husband, Slobodan Živojinović, and friend, Saša Popović. This venture grew to become the largest record label and production company in the Balkans, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit. In 2019, they made a significant decision to sell Grand Production for thirty million euros, marking a new chapter in their careers.
