Les Paul

Lester William Polsfuss, known to the world as Les Paul, was born on June 9, 1915, and left an indelible mark on the music industry until his passing on August 12, 2009. An American guitarist, songwriter, and inventor, Paul was a true pioneer in the realm of solid-body electric guitars. His innovative prototype, affectionately dubbed the Log, laid the groundwork for the iconic Gibson Les Paul, a staple in the music world.

Self-taught in the art of guitar playing, Les Paul initially made his mark in country music before transitioning to jazz and popular music. His collaboration with his wife, the talented singer and guitarist Mary Ford, in the 1950s resulted in numerous hit recordings that sold millions of copies, showcasing their unique sound and chemistry.
