Lesław Ćmikiewicz

Lesław Ćmikiewicz, born on August twenty-fifth, nineteen forty-eight, is a distinguished figure in Polish football, both as a player and a coach. His career on the pitch saw him don the jerseys of prominent Polish clubs such as Śląsk Wrocław and Legia Warsaw, as well as making his mark in the Major Indoor Soccer League with teams like the New York Arrows and Chicago Horizon.

As a player for the Poland national team, Ćmikiewicz earned an impressive fifty-seven caps. He showcased his talent on the international stage, participating in the 1972 Summer Olympics, where Poland clinched the gold medal, and the 1976 Summer Olympics, where they secured the silver. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in the 1974 FIFA World Cup, contributing to Poland's bronze medal victory.

Transitioning from player to coach, Ćmikiewicz took the helm at several Polish clubs, including Stal Rzeszów.
