Lesley Ashburner

Lesley Ashburner, born on October second, eighteen eighty-three, was a distinguished American athlete renowned for his prowess in the 110 metre hurdles. His athletic career reached a pinnacle when he represented the United States at the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis, where he proudly secured a bronze medal in his event.

After his Olympic success, Ashburner pursued higher education at Cornell University, graduating in nineteen oh six. During his time at Cornell, he was an esteemed member of the Quill and Dagger society, a testament to his leadership and commitment to excellence.

Transitioning from athletics to a professional career, Ashburner became a civil engineer, contributing to various projects and leaving a mark in his field. He spent his later years in Bethesda, Maryland, where he passed away at his home, leaving behind his beloved wife, Nancy Miley, and their daughter, Roberta.
