Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Liang Wenbo

Liang Wenbo, born on March fifth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a former professional snooker player from China. He made a significant mark in the world of snooker, clinching one ranking title at the 2016 English Open. Liang also showcased his talent on the international stage, winning the World Cup for China twice, in two thousand eleven and two thousand seventeen, alongside his teammate Ding Junhui.

Throughout his career, Liang demonstrated remarkable skill, achieving a total of two hundred ninety-two century breaks in professional competition, which included three maximum breaks. His dedication and talent propelled him to a career-high ranking of eleventh in the snooker world rankings, a testament to his prowess in the sport.

However, Liang's career faced significant challenges. In April two thousand twenty-two, he was convicted of domestic assault, leading to a four-month suspension from the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA). The situation escalated in October of the same year when he was suspended again amid match-fixing allegations that implicated nine other Chinese players.

In June two thousand twenty-three, the WPBSA handed down a permanent ban to Liang and fellow player Li Hang, marking a historic moment as the only two lifetime bans ever issued in professional snooker. The Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association (CBSA) upheld this decision, further solidifying the consequences of Liang's actions in the sport.
