Lidija Dimkovska

Lidija Dimkovska, born on August eleventh, nineteen seventy-one, is a distinguished Macedonian poet, novelist, and translator. Hailing from Skopje, she pursued her passion for literature at the University of Skopje, where she studied comparative literature. Her academic journey continued as she obtained a PhD in Romanian literature from the University of Bucharest, showcasing her dedication to the literary arts.

Throughout her career, Dimkovska has made significant contributions to academia, teaching Macedonian language and literature at the University of Bucharest. Additionally, she has shared her expertise in world literature at the University of Nova Gorica in Slovenia, enriching the literary landscape in both countries.

In the realm of literary journalism, she served as an editor for Blesok, an online Macedonian literary journal, further solidifying her influence in the literary community. Currently residing in Ljubljana, she works as a freelance writer and translator, specializing in Romanian and Slovenian literature, and holds dual citizenship in Macedonia and Slovenia.
