Lil Uzi Vert first gained attention with the release of the commercial mixtape 'Luv Is Rage' in two thousand fifteen, which paved the way for a recording contract with Atlantic Records under DJ Drama's Generation Now imprint.

The artist's mainstream breakthrough came in two thousand sixteen with the debut single 'Money Longer', which served as the lead for their third mixtape, 'Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World'. This project featured the hit single 'You Was Right', marking their first entry into the Billboard Hot 100 top forty. Lil Uzi Vert further solidified their presence in the music industry by collaborating with Migos on the chart-topping single 'Bad and Boujee' and achieving their first top ten single as a lead artist with 'XO Tour Llif3'.
