Cheryazova made her World Cup debut in December nineteen eighty-nine, quickly establishing herself as a formidable competitor.
Her career was marked by significant achievements, including a bronze medal at the nineteen ninety European Championship and a gold medal at the nineteen ninety-three World Championships. However, her crowning glory came at the nineteen ninety-four Winter Olympics, where she secured a gold medal with an impressive score of one hundred sixty-six point eighty-four. This victory made her the first and only athlete to win a Winter Olympic medal representing Uzbekistan, earning her the title of Honored Athlete of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
