Lindi Ortega

Lindi Ortega, born on May 28, 1980, is a talented Canadian country singer-songwriter hailing from Toronto, Ontario. After spending a significant period in Nashville, Tennessee, she relocated to Western Canada in 2017. Ortega dedicated nearly a decade to establishing herself as an independent artist within the vibrant Toronto music scene, during which she released two albums and an EP. Often referred to as 'Toronto's best kept secret' and affectionately nicknamed 'Indie Lindi', her unique sound has captivated audiences.

In November 2017, Ortega made a pivotal decision to part ways with Last Gang management and records. Embracing her independence, she launched her own label, Shadowbox Music, through which she released the EP 'Til The Goin' Gets Gone' and her full-length album 'Liberty'. Her voice has been likened to a harmonious blend of the legendary Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Emmylou Harris, showcasing her remarkable vocal prowess.

Ortega's career took a significant turn at the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 when she toured extensively as a backup singer for Brandon Flowers, the lead vocalist of The Killers. This tour supported Flowers' solo album 'Flamingo' and included performances across the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Mexico.
