Lobengula

Lobengula, born in the year eighteen forty-five, was a prominent monarch who held the title of the second and last official king of Mthwakazi, a region historically known as Matabeleland. His reign marked a significant period in the history of the Ndebele people, who are often referred to as 'the men of the long shields' due to their warriors' distinctive use of the Nguni shield.
