Lori Nichol

Lori Nichol, born in 1963, is a distinguished Canadian figure skating choreographer and coach, renowned for her contributions to the sport. Her career as a performer began with the John Curry Company, where she showcased her talent from 1983 to 1986. During this time, she achieved notable success, including winning the silver medal at the World Professional Championships in 1983.

Throughout her illustrious career, Lori has been recognized for her exceptional choreography, earning the Professional Skaters' Association's Choreographer of the Year Award on four separate occasions. Her dedication to promoting figure skating has also been acknowledged with the prestigious PSA Sonia Henie award in 2010, celebrating her efforts in bringing positive recognition to the sport.

Lori's impact on figure skating extends beyond choreography; she has been honored with several inductions into various halls of fame. In 2011, she was elected to the Professional Skater's Association Hall of Fame as an Outstanding Contributor, followed by her induction into the United States Figure Skating Association's Hall of Fame and the Skate Canada Hall of Fame in 2012. Her remarkable achievements culminated in her election to the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in March 2014.
