Louis IX of France

Louis IX of France, also known as Saint Louis, was born on April twenty-fifth, twelve fourteen, and ascended to the throne at the tender age of twelve following the death of his father, Louis VIII. His mother, Blanche of Castile, served as regent during his early years, skillfully managing the kingdom and confronting rebellious vassals while championing the Capetian cause in the ongoing Albigensian Crusade.
