Beyond his professional achievements, Le Chatelier was a devoted family man. He married Louise Madeleine Élisabeth Durand, with whom he had seven children. Among them was his son, Alfred Le Chatelier, who was born in eighteen fifty-five and later pursued a career in the army before transitioning to ceramics and academia.

Alfred's academic journey led him to hold the esteemed chair of Muslim sociology at the Collège de France for many years, showcasing the family's legacy in the sciences. Louis Le Chatelier's name is also inscribed on the iconic Eiffel Tower, a testament to his lasting impact on French culture and industry.
