Louis Tomlinson

Louis Tomlinson, an English singer-songwriter, was born on December 24, 1991, in Doncaster, England. He first gained fame as a contestant on the British singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Initially auditioning as a solo artist, he was later placed into a group with four other rejected contestants, which formed the globally renowned boy band One Direction, celebrated as one of the best-selling boy bands in history.

After One Direction's hiatus in 2016, Tomlinson embarked on his solo career, releasing his debut single 'Just Hold On' in collaboration with Steve Aoki in December of that year. The track achieved remarkable success, peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart and earning a platinum certification. His subsequent releases, including 'Back to You' featuring Bebe Rexha and 'Miss You', further solidified his presence in the music industry.

In January 2020, Tomlinson released his debut solo studio album, Walls, which debuted at number four in the UK and number nine on the US Billboard 200. His second album, Faith in the Future, launched in November 2022, topped the UK charts and reached number five in the US. Tomlinson's ongoing Faith in the Future World Tour, which began in May 2023, has received critical acclaim and earned a nomination for Best Live Act at the inaugural Rolling Stone UK Awards.

Beyond music, Tomlinson has made significant contributions to philanthropy since 2010, donating millions to various charities and participating in initiatives like Soccer Aid. In August 2023, he launched his streetwear brand '28', which features his native White Rose of York in its branding. Additionally, he serves as the curator of the Away From Home Festival, an indie music festival that showcases emerging talent.
