Louise McKinney

Louise McKinney, born on September twenty-second, eighteen sixty-eight, was a pioneering Canadian politician and a fervent advocate for women's rights. She made history as the first woman elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and the first female legislator in the British Empire, serving from nineteen seventeen to nineteen twenty-one as a member of the Non-Partisan League.
