Lucija Polavder, born on December fifteenth, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished Slovene judoka and military personnel. Her journey in judo began at a young age, leading her to represent Slovenia on the international stage.

Polavder made her Olympic debut at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she faced tough competition and did not advance past the first round. However, her perseverance and dedication to the sport shone through at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she showcased her skills and determination.

In Beijing, Polavder advanced to the semifinals, a significant achievement that highlighted her growth as an athlete. Although she was ultimately defeated by the formidable Japanese judoka Maki Tsukada, she did not let this setback deter her. In the bronze medal match, she triumphed over Korean competitor Kim Na-Young, securing her place in history as the second Slovenian judoka to win an Olympic medal, following Urška Žolnir's success in 2004.
