Lucius Cornelius Balbus (proconsul)

Lucius Cornelius Balbus, often known as Lucius Cornelius Balbus Minor, was a prominent Roman politician and military leader born in Gades around sixty BC. He was the son of Publius Cornelius Balbus and belonged to a family with Punic roots. Through adoption, he became a notable member of the gens Cornelia, a prestigious Roman family.
