Ludmila Engquist

Ludmila Engquist, born on April 21, 1964, is a distinguished former athlete who made her mark in the world of track and field as a bobsledder and hurdler. Her athletic journey began in the Soviet Union, where she competed until 1991, before representing Russia from 1992 and later Sweden from 1996.

Engquist is celebrated for her remarkable achievements in the 100 metres hurdles, having clinched the Olympic gold medal in 1996. She also triumphed at the World Championships, securing titles in 1991 and 1997.
