Luis Cabrera Herrera

Luis Gerardo Cabrera Herrera, born on October 11, 1955, is a distinguished Ecuadorian prelate of the Catholic Church. He has served as the Archbishop of Guayaquil since 2015, following a notable tenure as the Archbishop of Cuenca from 2009 to 2015. His leadership within the Church has been marked by a commitment to pastoral care and community engagement.

In addition to his archiepiscopal duties, Cabrera has played a significant role in the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference. He has been its president since 2020, demonstrating his influence and dedication to the Catholic community in Ecuador.
