Luis Enrique Martínez García, born on May 8, 1970, is a prominent Spanish football manager and former player, currently leading Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain. Renowned for his versatility on the field, he showcased exceptional technique and stamina, primarily excelling as a midfielder or forward.

His illustrious playing career spanned from 1991 to 2004, during which he made significant contributions to both Real Madrid and Barcelona. Over this period, he participated in more than five hundred official matches and netted over one hundred goals, earning accolades and recognition for his performances. Additionally, Luis Enrique represented the Spain national team in three World Cups and one European Championship.

Transitioning to management in 2008, he began with Barcelona B before taking the helm at Roma three years later. His tenure at Celta in the 2013–14 season was followed by a triumphant return to Barcelona, where he led the team to a treble in his first season and a double in his second. In 2018, he was appointed as the head coach of the Spain national team, a role he briefly resigned from in 2019 for family reasons, only to return later that year. Under his guidance, Spain reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020 and finished as runners-up in the 2020–21 Nations League.
