Luis Ibáñez

Luis Ezequiel Ibáñez, affectionately known as Lucho, was born on July 15, 1988, in Argentina. He began his professional football journey with Boca Juniors, making his debut in 2008. Although his time at Boca was brief, with only two official appearances in the Argentine Primera División, it laid the foundation for his future endeavors.

In the summer transfer window of the 2008–09 season, Ibáñez made a significant move to Dinamo Zagreb for a transfer fee of six hundred fifty thousand euros. His tenure at Dinamo Zagreb proved to be fruitful, as he became a key player, earning accolades from Croatian football critics for his impressive performances and work ethic. Over seven years, he made a total of 119 official appearances, netting 13 goals and contributing to the club's success with four domestic trophies, including two league titles and one each of the Croatian Cup and Supercup.

After departing from Dinamo, Ibáñez continued his career in Europe, signing with Hungarian club Győri ETO. His journey took him through several clubs, including Red Star Belgrade and Trabzonspor, where he was loaned to Kardemir Karabükspor. In September 2019, he joined Zrinjski Mostar in the Bosnian Premier League, where he played until June 2021.

In addition to his Argentine roots, Ibáñez holds Croatian citizenship, allowing him to compete without being classified as a foreign player within the European Union. His versatility and experience on the field have made him a respected figure in the world of football.
