Luis Muriel, born on April 16, 1991, is a talented Colombian professional footballer known for his versatility as a forward and attacking midfielder. He began his career with Deportivo Cali in Colombia before making a significant move to Udinese in Italy. During his initial years at Udinese, Muriel was loaned to Granada and Lecce, gaining valuable experience before returning to the club in 2012. That year, he was honored with the Serie A Best Young Revelation award, sharing the spotlight with fellow player Stephan El Shaarawy.
In January 2015, Muriel transferred to Sampdoria, where he continued to showcase his skills, netting 21 goals in 79 league appearances over two and a half seasons. His impressive performance caught the attention of Sevilla, who signed him in 2017. However, in January 2019, he returned to Italy on loan to Fiorentina. The following June, Muriel made a permanent move to Atalanta for a reported sum of eighteen million euros.
