Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Luna Ferguson

Luna Ferguson is a prominent Canadian filmmaker and LGBTQ rights activist known for their groundbreaking work in advocating for non-binary recognition. Using the pronouns they/them, Ferguson has made significant strides in the fight for gender inclusivity and representation.

A graduate of Algonquin College, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of British Columbia, Ferguson's educational background has equipped them with the skills necessary to navigate both the film industry and activism. Their journey took a pivotal turn in May 2017 when they applied to change their birth registration to non-binary.

After facing an extended delay, Ferguson took a stand by filing a human rights complaint with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario in September 2017. This courageous action led to a landmark change in Ontario's policies in 2018, allowing Ferguson to receive a birth certificate that reflects their non-binary identity. As a result of their advocacy, Ontario became the first Canadian province to offer citizens the option of a birth certificate with no sexual designation.

In September 2019, Ferguson further embraced their identity by legally changing their first name to Luna, solidifying their commitment to authenticity and representation within the LGBTQ community.
