Lyall Dagg

Lyall Dagg, born on July twenty-seventh, nineteen twenty-nine, was a distinguished Canadian curler who left an indelible mark on the sport. He achieved remarkable success as a World Champion, securing a gold medal at the 1964 World Curling Championships. His legacy in curling is further enriched by his daughter, Elaine Dagg-Jackson, who followed in his footsteps and became a curler herself.

Beyond his accomplishments on the ice, Dagg was also a dedicated professional, working as an account executive. His ability to balance a demanding career with his passion for curling exemplified his commitment and drive.

Tragically, Dagg's life was cut short when he passed away at the age of forty-five due to a rare blood disorder. Despite his untimely death, his contributions to curling were recognized posthumously when he was inducted into the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame in the year two thousand, honoring his impact on the sport.
