Belisle gained international recognition at the 2003 Pan American Games held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where she showcased her talent by securing a silver medal in the women's forty-eight kilogram division. In a fierce competition, she faced U.S. wrestler Patricia Miranda, ultimately succumbing to a powerful pin.

Her remarkable journey continued as she qualified for the inaugural women's wrestling event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, competing in the forty-eight kilogram class.
