Lynn Compton

Lynn Compton, born on December thirty-first, nineteen twenty-one, was a multifaceted American who made significant contributions as a lawyer, police officer, judge, and even a baseball player. His journey began in the military, where he served as a paratrooper in the renowned 'Easy Company' of the 506th Infantry Regiment within the 101st Airborne Division during World War II.

After the war, Compton transitioned into law enforcement, joining the Los Angeles Police Department. His career progressed as he moved to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, where he ultimately became the chief deputy district attorney. Notably, he played a pivotal role as the lead prosecutor in the high-profile trial of Sirhan Sirhan, who was charged with the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.

Compton's remarkable military exploits were immortalized in the acclaimed book 'Band of Brothers' by historian Stephen E. Ambrose, which later inspired the award-winning HBO miniseries of the same name. In this adaptation, Compton's character was brought to life by actor Neal McDonough, further solidifying his legacy.
