MacKenzie Scott

MacKenzie Scott, born on April 7, 1970, is a prominent American novelist, philanthropist, and a key early contributor to Amazon. She was married to Jeff Bezos, the co-founder of Amazon, from 1993 until their divorce in 2019. As of December 2025, Scott's net worth is estimated at forty billion dollars, making her the third-wealthiest woman in the United States and the fortieth-wealthiest person globally.

Scott's literary career began with her debut novel, The Testing of Luther Albright, which won an American Book Award in 2006. Her second novel, Traps, was published in 2013. Beyond her writing, she has been actively involved in philanthropy, committing to donate at least half of her wealth to charitable causes as a signatory of the Giving Pledge.

In 2014, she founded Bystander Revolution, an organization dedicated to combating bullying, and has served as its executive director since.
