Madison Cawthorn

Madison Cawthorn, born on August first, nineteen ninety-five, is an American politician who made history as the first member of Congress born in the 1990s. He served as the U.S. representative for North Carolina's eleventh congressional district from twenty twenty-one to twenty twenty-three, representing the Republican Party and identifying as a constitutional conservative.

Before his election, Cawthorn worked as a staffer for U.S. Representative Mark Meadows. In twenty twenty, he successfully ran to succeed Meadows, marking the beginning of his political career. However, his tenure was not without controversy, as he faced allegations of insider trading, improper payments, and even brought a handgun to an airport. Additionally, he was involved in a scandal surrounding a leaked nude video.

In the twenty twenty-two Republican primary, Cawthorn lost his renomination to Chuck Edwards, who subsequently won the general election. Despite this setback, Cawthorn announced in October twenty twenty-five his intention to return to Congress, launching a campaign in Florida's nineteenth congressional district.
