Magaly Solier

Magaly Solier Romero, born on June 11, 1986, in the province of Huanta, Ayacucho, Peru, is a talented actress and singer-songwriter. Hailing from a Quechua family, she is fluent in both the indigenous language of Quechua and Spanish, which reflects her deep connection to her roots and culture.

In 2003, Solier showcased her musical talent by winning the Festival de la Canción Ayacuchana, a significant achievement that marked the beginning of her artistic journey. The following year, she made her acting debut in the film Madeinusa, which garnered her critical acclaim and established her as a prominent figure in the Peruvian film industry.

Beyond her artistic contributions, Solier is a passionate advocate for the preservation of indigenous languages, traditions, and culture. Her commitment to these causes has resonated with many, leading to her recognition as an Artist of Peace by UNESCO in June 2017 in Paris, France.
