Maggie Coles-Lyster, born on February twelfth, nineteen ninety-nine, is a prominent Canadian professional racing cyclist currently riding for Human Powered Health. Her career has been marked by significant achievements on the track, including a bronze medal in the team pursuit at the 2017–18 UCI Track Cycling World Cup.
In addition to her World Cup success, Coles-Lyster showcased her talent at the 2018 Pan American Track Cycling Championships, where she again secured a bronze medal in the team pursuit event. Her prowess continued to shine at the 2019 Pan American Games, where she earned silver medals in both the team pursuit and madison events, further establishing her as a formidable competitor.
Coles-Lyster's accomplishments extended to the road cycling scene, where she claimed gold at the Canadian National Road Race Championships in 2022. However, her journey has not been without challenges. In 2020, she bravely came forward with allegations of sexual assault that occurred during a race in the Netherlands in 2017, prompting a formal investigation by the Union Cycliste Internationale.
In 2023, she faced another hurdle as a member of the ill-fated Zaaf Cycling Team, which disbanded amid reports of unpaid riders. Despite this setback, she was subsequently picked up mid-season by Israel–Premier Tech, demonstrating her resilience and determination to continue her cycling career.
