Mahadev Govind Ranade

Rao Bahadur Mahadev Govind Ranade, born on 18 January 1842, was a prominent Indian scholar and social reformer whose contributions spanned various fields including law, literature, and politics. He is widely recognized for his role as a judge of the Bombay High Court and as a founding member of the Indian National Congress, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the political landscape of India during the late nineteenth century.

Ranade's influence extended beyond the courtroom; he was a passionate advocate for social reform.
