Mahesh Babu

Mahesh Babu, born on August ninth, nineteen seventy-five, is a prominent Indian film actor, producer, and philanthropist renowned for his contributions to Telugu cinema. Often referred to as the Superstar, he has established himself as one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema, consistently appearing in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list from two thousand twelve to two thousand twenty-five. With a career spanning over three decades, he has starred in more than thirty films and has received numerous accolades, including nine Nandi Awards, five Filmfare Awards South, and four SIIMA Awards.

The younger son of legendary actor Krishna, Mahesh made his acting debut as a child artist in the Telugu film Needa in nineteen seventy-nine at the tender age of four. He continued to showcase his talent in various films throughout the late eighties and early nineties, including notable roles in Sankharavam, Bazaar Rowdy, and Koduku Diddina Kapuram. His transition to lead roles began with Rajakumarudu in nineteen ninety-nine, which earned him the Nandi Award for Best Male Debut.

Mahesh Babu's breakthrough came with the supernatural drama Murari in two thousand one and the action-packed Okkadu in two thousand three, for which he won his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu. His impressive filmography includes commercially successful titles such as Athadu, Pokiri, Dookudu, and Srimanthudu, with several of these films ranking among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time. His performances have garnered critical acclaim, earning him additional Filmfare Awards for Best Actor – Telugu.

In addition to his cinematic achievements, Mahesh Babu is a dedicated philanthropist. He founded the Mahesh Babu Foundation, which focuses on providing support for children in need, particularly funding life-saving congenital heart surgeries. He also owns the production house G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and serves as a goodwill ambassador for Rainbow Hospitals. In two thousand eighteen, he ventured into the film exhibition business, inaugurating the seven-screen multiplex AMB cinemas in Hyderabad, followed by a nine-screen multiplex in Bengaluru. Mahesh is married to actress Namrata Shirodkar.
