Maja Savić

Maja Savić, born on April twenty-ninth, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished former Montenegrin handball player renowned for her exceptional skills on the left wing. She began her illustrious career at ŽRK Budućnost, a prominent club in Montenegro, after transferring from Viborg HK. Her tenure at ŽRK Budućnost and later with the Slagelse Dream Team from two thousand four to two thousand eight solidified her reputation in the sport.

Throughout her career, Savić represented the national teams of FR Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro, showcasing her talent on the international stage. A highlight of her career came during the two thousand one World Women's Handball Championship, where she played a pivotal role in leading Yugoslavia to a bronze medal. Her outstanding performance earned her the title of Best Left Wing in the World and a spot on the All Star Team.

In two thousand twelve, Savić was a key member of the Montenegrin handball team that achieved remarkable success at the Summer Olympics, securing a silver medal. Her contributions to the sport have not gone unnoticed, as she was inducted into the European Handball Federation Hall of Fame in two thousand twenty-three, a testament to her legacy and impact on handball.
