Majalli Wahabi

Majalli Wahabi, born on February twelfth, nineteen fifty-four, is a prominent Druze-Israeli politician known for his significant contributions to Israeli politics. He served as a member of the Knesset for various parties, including Likud, Kadima, and HaTnuah, from two thousand three to two thousand thirteen.

Wahabi made history in two thousand seven when he briefly held the position of Acting President of Israel. This remarkable achievement marked him as the first non-Jew and the first Druze to assume the role of Israel's acting head of state. His tenure in this capacity was notably during the absence of President Moshe Katsav and the diplomatic trips abroad of Interim President Dalia Itzik.

Although his time as Acting President was short-lived, Wahabi's role during this period was a significant milestone in Israeli history, showcasing the diverse representation within the country's leadership. His political career reflects a commitment to serving the Israeli public and advocating for the Druze community.
