Maks Levin

Maks Levin, born on July seventh, nineteen eighty-one, was a dedicated Ukrainian photojournalist, photographer, videographer, and journalist. His career in photojournalism began in two thousand six, during which he contributed to prominent media outlets such as LB.ua and Reuters. Levin's work extended beyond journalism; he also provided impactful imagery for international humanitarian organizations, including UNICEF and the World Health Organization.

Tragically, during a mission to document the Russian invasion of Ukraine in Kyiv Oblast, Levin faced grave danger. He was detained by Russian soldiers, subjected to interrogation, and reportedly endured torture. His commitment to revealing the truth came at a devastating cost, as he was executed while on assignment.

Accompanying him during this perilous mission was his friend Oleksiy Chernyshov, who faced a similarly horrific fate, likely being burned alive. Levin's legacy as a courageous journalist and his contributions to humanitarian causes continue to resonate, highlighting the risks faced by those who strive to document the realities of conflict.
