Mallory Swanson

Mallory Swanson, born on April twenty-ninth, nineteen ninety-eight, is an accomplished American professional soccer player who currently plays as a forward for the Chicago Stars FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and represents the United States women's national soccer team (USWNT).

Swanson's journey in soccer began at a young age, where she showcased her talent at the under-17 and under-20 levels. She made her debut for the USWNT in two thousand sixteen at the age of seventeen, marking a significant milestone as the youngest player to join the team since Heather O'Reilly in two thousand two. That same year, she made her Olympic debut at the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, where she etched her name in history as the youngest Olympic goalscorer for the United States.

Her career continued to flourish as she played a pivotal role in the USWNT's triumph at the two thousand nineteen FIFA Women's World Cup. Swanson further solidified her legacy by winning a gold medal at the twenty twenty-four Paris Olympics, where she scored the only goal in the final match.

In a bold move, Swanson chose to forgo her college career at UCLA to pursue professional soccer in two thousand seventeen, signing with the Washington Spirit. She spent three seasons with the team before moving to Sky Blue FC and eventually being traded to the Chicago Red Stars, allowing her to play in the same city as her husband, Dansby Swanson, a player for the Chicago Cubs.
