Manny Harris

Manny Harris, born on September twenty-first, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished American former professional basketball player. He made his mark in the sport by playing for several notable teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). His journey in basketball began at the University of Michigan, where he showcased his talent as a guard for the Wolverines, earning recognition as an All-Big Ten Conference player.

After three successful seasons at Michigan, Harris opted to forgo his final year of collegiate eligibility to enter the 2010 NBA draft, where he ultimately went undrafted. He soon signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he faced challenges, including an injury that sidelined him during his second year. However, he demonstrated resilience by rehabbing in the NBA D-League with the Cavaliers' affiliate, the Canton Charge, before rejoining the Cavaliers.

Harris's international career took off when he signed with BC Azovmash in Ukraine in September two thousand twelve, competing in the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague. Over the next few seasons, he balanced his time between the NBA, NBA D-League, and the Turkish Basketball Super League, earning accolades as an NBA D-League All-Star and being recognized multiple times as the D-League performer of the week. During his time at Michigan, Harris achieved significant milestones, including being named a first team All-Big Ten selection in the two thousand eight to two thousand nine season and earning Big Ten Academic All-Conference honors. He made history by recording the second triple-double in the school's history at the start of the two thousand nine to two thousand ten NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Harris's high school career at Redford High School in Detroit culminated in winning the state's Mr. Basketball award, solidifying his status as a top player in Michigan.
