Mantorras

Pedro Manuel Torres, affectionately known as Mantorras, was born on March eighteenth, nineteen eighty-two, in Angola. This former professional footballer made his mark as a striker, showcasing his talent primarily with the renowned club Benfica. His journey in football, however, was marred by persistent injuries that ultimately led to his early retirement at the tender age of thirty.

The nickname 'Mantorras' has a unique origin, stemming from his childhood experiences. As a young boy, he suffered minor accidental burns, earning him the moniker 'toasted brother' in the local dialect, which reflects both his resilience and the warmth of his character.
