Marc Muniesa, born on March 27, 1992, is a talented Spanish professional footballer known for his versatility on the field, primarily playing as a centre-back or left-back. Currently, he showcases his skills at Al Shahaniya in the Qatari Stars League.
Muniesa's football journey began at the prestigious FC Barcelona, where he made his debut at the tender age of seventeen during the 2008–09 season. His early promise was evident as he contributed to Barcelona B's successful campaign, helping the team secure promotion to the Segunda División in the 2009–10 season.
Despite being on the cusp of joining the first team in the 2012–13 season, Muniesa faced a setback with a torn knee ligament during pre-season, which sidelined him for a significant portion of the year. In July 2013, he made a pivotal move to Stoke City in England on a free transfer, marking a new chapter in his career.
After four years in the Premier League, Muniesa returned to Spain, joining Girona on a season-long loan, which became a permanent transfer in 2018 for five million euros. However, following the club's relegation, he parted ways with Girona and signed with Al-Arabi in Qatar, continuing his professional journey.
On the international stage, Muniesa has represented Spain at various youth levels, earning twenty-six caps, including five appearances for the under-21 team, with whom he celebrated victory at the 2013 European Championship.
