Marcel Breuer

Marcel Breuer, born on May twenty-first, nineteen hundred and two, was a Hungarian-American modernist architect and furniture designer whose innovative spirit left an indelible mark on the world of design. After relocating to the United States in nineteen thirty-seven, he became a naturalized citizen in nineteen forty-four, further solidifying his commitment to his new home.

At the renowned Bauhaus, Breuer crafted iconic pieces such as the Wassily Chair and the Cesca Chair, which have been celebrated by The New York Times as some of the most significant chairs of the twentieth century. His ability to blend sculpture with architecture allowed him to create a personal style that resonated with the principles of modernism, making him one of the most sought-after architects during the height of twentieth-century design.
