Marcel Gery

Marcel Gery, born on March fifteenth, nineteen sixty-five, is a distinguished former butterfly swimmer hailing from Czechoslovakia. He made his mark in the world of competitive swimming by representing the Czechoslovak national team in various international events.

In nineteen eighty-five, Gery showcased his talent at the Summer Universiade, where he earned a bronze medal in the 200-metre freestyle event. This achievement highlighted his prowess in the pool and set the stage for his future endeavors.

After emigrating to Canada, Gery continued to excel in swimming, ultimately competing for the Canadian national team at the nineteen ninety-two Summer Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain. There, he contributed to the team's success by winning a bronze medal as part of the men's 4×100-metres medley relay, alongside notable swimmers Mark Tewksbury, Jonathan Cleveland, and Stephen Clarke.
