Marcelo Brozović, born on November 16, 1992, is a distinguished Croatian professional footballer renowned for his role as a defensive midfielder. Currently, he showcases his talents at Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where he made a significant move in the summer of 2023 for a fee of eighteen million euros.
Brozović's football journey began in his youth at Hrvatski Dragovoljac, where he made his first-team debut in 2011, participating in twenty-two matches during a challenging season that ended in relegation. Following this setback, he joined Lokomotiva, contributing to a mid-table finish before making a pivotal move to Dinamo Zagreb in August 2012. Over three seasons, he emerged as a key player, which led to a loan spell at Inter Milan in January 2015.
His time at Inter Milan proved transformative, as he spent one and a half years on loan before the club secured his services permanently for five million euros. During his seven seasons with Inter, Brozović made over three hundred appearances, playing a crucial role in the team's resurgence, including their first Serie A title in over a decade in 2021 and reaching two European finals in 2020 and 2023.
On the international stage, Brozović made his debut for the Croatian national team in June 2014. He has since represented his country in three FIFA World Cups (2014, 2018, and 2022) and multiple UEFA European Championships, notably reaching the finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 UEFA Nations League.
