Marco Borsato, born on December twenty-first, nineteen sixty-six, in Alkmaar, North Holland, is a renowned Dutch singer, actor, and recording artist. He initially began his musical journey performing in Italian but made a significant transition to Dutch in nineteen ninety-four, which marked the beginning of his extraordinary success in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Throughout his illustrious career, Borsato has achieved remarkable milestones, including fifteen number-one singles in the Netherlands, making him the second-most successful artist in this regard, just behind The Beatles. His iconic song 'Dromen zijn bedrog' made history by spending twelve consecutive weeks at number one, a record that stood for seventeen years and remains the longest-running Dutch language number-one song to date.

From two thousand three to two thousand eight, Borsato made waves by becoming the first artist to record nine consecutive number-one singles on the Dutch charts. His dominance in the music industry is further highlighted by his eleven number-one albums in the Netherlands, all certified at least Platinum, with every eligible studio album from nineteen ninety-five to two thousand thirteen debuting at number one. Additionally, he has six number-one albums in Belgium.
