Maren Ade

Maren Ade, born on December twelfth, nineteen seventy-six, is a prominent German film director, screenwriter, and producer. Residing in Berlin, she has made significant contributions to the film industry, particularly through her innovative storytelling and unique cinematic style.

In addition to her filmmaking, Ade is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers. She teaches screenwriting at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, where she shares her expertise and passion for the craft.

Ade co-founded the production company Komplizen Film alongside Janine Jackowski and Jonas Dornbach, which has been instrumental in producing critically acclaimed films. Her most notable work, Toni Erdmann, garnered international recognition and was nominated for an Academy Award, solidifying her status as a leading figure in contemporary cinema.
