María Conchita Alonso, born on June twenty-nine, nineteen fifty-seven, is a Cuban-born Venezuelan-American actress and singer whose multifaceted career encompasses film, television, music, and theater. She first gained international acclaim for her memorable role as Amber Mendez in the iconic nineteen eighty-seven film, The Running Man. Her talent was further recognized when she received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead for her performance in Caught in nineteen ninety-six.
