María Dolores Pradera, born on August twenty-ninth, nineteen twenty-four, was a celebrated Spanish melodic singer and actress, renowned for her captivating voice that resonated across Spain and Latin America. Initially embarking on her career as an actress, she transitioned into the world of music during the 1950s, ultimately dedicating herself fully to singing by the 1960s.

Over her illustrious career, Pradera released more than thirty-five records, showcasing her deep contralto voice that was both resonant and melodically rich, a testament to her classical training. She specialized in a variety of traditional Spanish and Latin American music genres, including bolero, copla, ballad, ronda, vals, and folk music from countries such as Peru, Argentina, Mexico, and Venezuela.
