Maria Elena Boschi

Maria Elena Boschi, born on January twenty-four, nineteen eighty-one, is a prominent Italian lawyer and politician. She has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since two thousand thirteen and is widely recognized by her supporters with the acronym MEB. A practicing Roman Catholic, Boschi has made significant contributions to Italian politics throughout her career.

Initially a member of the Democratic Party (PD), Boschi held the position of Minister for Constitutional Reforms and Relations with the Parliament from February two thousand fourteen to December two thousand sixteen. During this time, she was instrumental in implementing the reform program of the Renzi government, showcasing her commitment to progressive change.

In December two thousand sixteen, she transitioned to serve as the Secretary of the Council of Ministers in the Gentiloni government, a role she maintained until June one, two thousand eighteen. Her political journey took a new direction in two thousand nineteen when she left the Democratic Party to join Matteo Renzi's liberal party, Italia Viva (IV), reflecting her evolving political ideology.
