Maria Grozdeva

Maria Grozdeva, born on June twenty-third, nineteen seventy-two, is a distinguished Bulgarian retired sport shooter renowned for her exceptional skills in both the twenty-five metre pistol and ten metre air pistol events. Her remarkable career is highlighted by her unique achievement as the only woman to successfully defend the twenty-five metre pistol title at the Olympic Games.

Throughout her illustrious career, Grozdeva has made her mark on the international stage, competing in the twenty-twenty Summer Olympics in both the Women's twenty-five metre pistol and Women's ten metre air pistol events. Her dedication and talent have earned her five Olympic medals, including two prestigious golds, solidifying her status as one of the sport's greats.

In addition to her Olympic success, Grozdeva has excelled at the CISM World Championships and ISSF World Cups, showcasing her versatility and skill across various competitions.
