Maria Leopoldine of Austria, born on November twenty-eighth, sixteen thirty-two, was a prominent figure in European history. As an Archduchess of Austria, she belonged to the Tyrolese branch of the illustrious House of Habsburg. Her royal lineage positioned her as a significant player in the political landscape of her time.

In a union that intertwined familial ties and political alliances, Maria Leopoldine became the second spouse of her first cousin, Ferdinand III, Holy Roman Emperor. This marriage elevated her status, making her Empress of the Holy Roman Empire, as well as German queen and queen consort of Hungary and Bohemia.
