Mariana Avitia

Mariana Avitia, born on September eighteenth, nineteen ninety-three, is a distinguished Mexican recurve archer who has made her mark on the international stage. She gained recognition as the first Mexican athlete to secure an Olympic medal in archery, achieving a remarkable bronze in the women's individual event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Her journey in archery began in two thousand seven, and by the age of seventeen, she had already made history as the youngest Mexican athlete to compete in not just one, but two Olympic Games. Avitia showcased her talent at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, setting a precedent for future generations of athletes.

In addition to her Olympic success, Avitia has also excelled at various international competitions. She has earned medals at the 2017 World Archery Championships and the Pan American Games in both 2011 and 2019, further solidifying her status as a leading figure in the sport.
